This page explains what MCP Licensing ("we") and this website collect. Questions: use the contact form.

This website

The website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Like any web server, our hosting records each request (time, address, page, browser) in access and firewall logs. We use those logs to run and protect the service and keep them for about 30 days.

If you write to us (the contact form)

The form collects the topic, your email address, your name if you give one, and your message, plus the country your request came from. We use them to reply. They are sent to us by email and are not kept in a database; the email stays in our mailbox for as long as we need it to answer you. To limit abuse, the form also counts attempts per network address for a short time (hours at most), separately from your message.

If you are a provider (you use the API to license your tools)

If you are a provider's customer (your tool checks its license with us)

The tool sends your license key and a device id that the provider's software chose. We process them only to answer whether the license is valid and to count seats. We do not receive your name or the contents of your work, and we do not sell or share this data. The provider can see which device ids hold seats on their licenses. Your address appears in our request logs for about 30 days.

Where it is stored and who processes it

Data is stored in Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-1). AWS acts as our processor for hosting, networking and delivering contact form messages to us. We do not send personal data anywhere else.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you through the contact form. On request we will delete a provider's tenant together with its licenses and seats. Audit and request logs expire on their own schedule.
